| About Lia Photography | |||||||||||
| Lia Segerblom, Master Photographer and owner, settled in Orange County California after spending one year in New York City working for ABC Television and managing a High Fashion Photography studio. She worked in Hollywood for numerous commercial studios in 1981. In 1982 she moved to Orange County, where she has since owned and operated a Portrait and Wedding studio in Dana Point. Her studio averages 20+ weddings and 300+ portrait sessions per year. Her personal photographic expertise runs the entire gamut of commercial, underwater, public relations, advertising, equestrian (1976 & 1984 Olympics), portrait, fine art, special event and wedding photography. Lia is an active member of both Professional Photographers of Orange County (PPOC) and Southern California Women Photographers (SCWP). She is also a dedicated mother to her 16-year-old son, Kyle. They are active together enjoying ocean kayaking, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, sailing, traveling, snow skiing, beach excursions, and simply enjoy spending quality time together. She studied at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo California, specializing in both traditional and digital photography and photoshop. Kathrin also gained experience in Portrait Photography at a studio in San Juan Capistrano, California. She continues her education by attending special workshops and seminars. Nancy Ellick, Director of Community Relations for Lia Photography, is the link between the studio and the hundreds of charities Lia donates to each year. Previously a Special Events Director for Macy's with a BA degree in Media Communication from San Francisco State University and an AA in Photography; she interfaces directly between art and business. Kristen Babiracki has joined Lia’s team as one of her assistants and has recently begun helping on the digital art of Lia’s portraits. Kristen lives in Aliso Viejo with one of her best friends, and enjoys a very active lifestyle, from traveling to teaching Spin at the gym. Kristen comes from a varied background in sales and has a degree in Journalism. While working in sales in the Mortgage Industry Kristen decided she wanted to pursue a more creative, self fulfilling career and has been working toward this goal by working for Lia, studying photography and photoshop. | |||||||||||
